Biotin is one of the most important vitamins you can take to promote hair growth. Biotin helps with the health of your scalp by producing fatty acids which in turn helps the health of your hair. When you take biotin, you are also helping to support your hair's keratin, making your hair stronger. Keratin is what your hair, skin, and nails are made of. Taking biotin with other B vitamins will create a powerful combination to help combat hair loss. If you are prone to breakouts, we recommend taking a biotin supplement with Vitamin B. Biotin when combined with B helps to reduce the chances of acne or breakouts in the skin. Zinc and biotin combined specifically contribute to the maintenance of healthy hair, by nourishing from within.
Zinc is a vital mineral for healthy hair, skin and nails. Zinc is an essential mineral necessary for cellular metabolism, immune function, and wound healing. Research shows zinc can help heal skin lesions, like in the treatment of breakouts, psoriasis, and dermatitis. Including zinc in your diet can help prevent lifeless locks, hair loss and can maintain healthy skin and nails.
Folic Acid aids with tissue growth, and cell reproduction, which is a fundamental aspect of healthy hair growth. It plays a major role with skin, hair, and nails. Folic acid works with other vitamins to help create, breakdown, and use proteins. Studies have been performed stating that folic acid seems effective in treating alopecia, or hair loss.
Vitamin A is a powerful vitamin which helps promote blood's oxygen circulation. Increased oxygen circulation to the scalp helps to feed your scalp the vital nutrients your hair needs for longer and stronger hair. Vitamin A is a skin and hair conditioning agent. It can reduce flaking, shedding, hair fall and restores suppleness, improving the appearance of dry, damaged hair and nails. It is also an effective antioxidant: it can improve collagen production and plump skin.
Vitamin B-6 plays a number of important roles in the body, including helping turn food into energy, assisting with red blood cell production, bringing oxygen to your scalp so your hair follicles will be able to produce healthier hair and also in collagen production and maintenance .
Vitamin B-12 supports your body's energy process and helps to form red blood cells giving an amazing boost to hair growth. Red blood cells are responsible for feeding oxygen to your scalp, which can help your hair to grow.
Vitamin C is a strong anti-oxidant believed to improve the ability of the body to absorb important nutrients, it is vital for your body to develop collagen, which helps your hair to grow stronger from the inside out. A study found in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology references the use of Vitamin C to improve hair growth. This youth activating antioxidant helps to protect your scalp from damage by combating free-radicals, free-radicals can cause hair loss over time. All successful hair care formulas contain Vitamin C due to its amazing hair growing properties. It improves the look and feel of the growing hair that it stimulates and nourishes the hair follicle.
Vitamin E can increase the amount of vitamins available in the blood stream. This allows the growing components of hair and nails to absorb more of what they need. Besides healing and protecting your hair, it can also help with fine lines and wrinkles on your skin. Like Vitamin A, this vitamin helps to bring enough oxygen to your scalp to help promote healthy hair growth. This rich antioxidant also acts as a safeguard against damage to your hair follicles. When taken in combination with Vitamin C, your hair can improve its strength and elasticity.
Pantothenic Acid (calcium D) can influence the healthy turnover of hair, skin and nails. Maintaining proper levels of pantothenic acid can strengthen your hair follicles and their cells. This vitamin contributes to the nourishment of hair follicles, helping them to function properly and promote the growth of your hair. Pantothenic acid can also help relieve the skin itching and flaking associated with dandruff and other similar disorders.
Iodine may help to promote healthy skin, nails and hair. It stimulates cellular function resulting in the regeneration of the lower layers of these cells. By rejuvenating the skin from the inside out – so to speak – iodine encourages smooth skin, hair colour, and strong nails.
Choline is essential to the structural integrity of cell membranes throughout the body, it is vital to the healthy growth of hair, skin, and nail tissue. Choline also improves efficiency of cell signalling and nerve impulse transmission, fat transport and metabolism, and more. It supports the function of inositol, which in turn boosts the efficiency of B complex vitamins.
Inositol is the last vitamin that is important for healthy hair. Inositol is, unofficially, grouped into the Vitamin B group of vitamins. It’s certainly not a commonly known vitamin, but is responsible for a number of support functions within the body. Inositol aids in the health of cell membranes, Inositol is usually paired with choline as this combination forms phospholipids, or lipids that promote hair growth. Even by itself inositol can work on the growth of stronger hair. The human body produces inositol naturally, but it is possible to increase its levels through the intake of supplements.
WHAT IS BIOTIN?
Biotin, also known as Vitamin H is part of the B-complex vitamin family, and can be found naturally in a variety of foods we eat. Biotin is a water soluble B vitamin that produces keratin (a fundamental protein for biotin and hair growth), increases hair elasticity, and protects the hair from dryness. It also helps thicken hair to give it a more fuller appearance. Biotin aids in the metabolisation of fatty acids, amino acids, and plays a role in the stabilisation of blood sugar levels. The amino acids produced when biotin is ingested plays a major role in hair growth. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein, and since hair itself consists of keratin, biotin can be labelled as “catalyst” for strong, healthy hair growth. Biotin deficiencies are associated with hair loss, unexplained hair breakage and cracked, brittle nails. Biotin deficiency can develop in individuals who consume an excessive amount of alcohol, and in individual who maintain a poor diet.
HOW DOES BIOTIN AID WITH HAIR GROWTH?
Biotin not only promotes healthy hair growth, it also prevents hair dryness. When used for a period of 6 months or more, biotin aids in the production of healthier hair follicles which translates to stronger, longer, fuller and healthier hair. Biotin also aids in the reduction of hair breakage by increasing hair elasticity, which means, hair grows longer and stays stronger over the course of a short time. If a person is suffering from hair loss, taking extra biotin may aid with healthy, fuller hair growth, due to the internal activities biotin enhances and activates. Biotin’s hair growth rate varies with each individual.
WHERE TO GET BIOTIN FOR HAIR GROWTH?
Biotin can be found naturally in many foods like eggs, diary, nuts, vegetables, fruits, beans and mushrooms. Majority of biotin intake can be gained from natural source a balanced diet, but due to poor dietary patterns, most people may not be getting an adequate amount of vitamins and minerals these days. By using hair growth supplements with biotin, individuals can ensure that all bases are covered. Not all individuals are able to absorb biotin found in food. Individuals who aren’t able to, typically have an A blood type, suffer from symptoms of GERD, or have severe acid reflux. In those cases, taking biotin supplements helps them achieve dietary requirements.
HOW MUCH BIOTIN IS ENOUGH FOR OPTIMUM HAIR GROWTH?
Taking biotin for hair growth is a good practice for growing longer, thicker, healthier hair. The daily requirement for majority of adults is 30mcg per day to maintain healthy hair, skin and nails. This is usually derived from a well balanced diet. However, if your goal is to increase hair growth and gain a stronger, more fuller look, an adequate amount is at around 5000mcg + per day. Results typically take 4-6 months to be seen.
DOES BIOTIN WORK?
Yes, but biotin alone isn’t a silver bullet for long healthy hair. Biotin is one of several good vitamins for healthy hair growth. VITBEARS include other important vitamins and minerals that provide the right nutrients to have and grow healthy, strong hair. Additionally, a healthy diet, low levels of stress, adequate amount of exercise, and plenty of water plays a major role in the speed and quality your hair grows.
Hair, the beautiful mane we’ve all come to love, want and keep. We breakdown your natural hair growth cycle, how your hair grows and the stages it goes through for long, healthy, beautiful hair.
Each individual hair strand on your head has it’s own life cycle, and can be in any of the three phases. There are three phases within the hair growth cycle. These phases are:
Anagen – The growth phase
Catagen – The transitional phase
Telogen – The resting phase
There are usually always around 85% of hairs in the growth phase, and around 14% in the resting phase. When this ratio becomes unbalanced (Anagen<Telogen), hair growth, length, and fullest begins to suffer. At this point hair loss visible can occur.
It means the key area to focus on for the optimum amount of healthy hair growth is within the Anagen phase (growth stage). By taking VITBEARS you can support your hairs metabolism and stimulate the formation of new cells as well as eating healthy, maintaining low levels of stress and living a more healthy lifestyle, all of these components together should create a more fertile ground through your hair follicles and blood capillaries for beautiful, strong, healthy hair.
